LITTLE SIM'Z: INTROVERTED BUT SHE AIN'T TIMID

We were lucky enough to catch Little Simz a few weekends back at her Sydney Splendour Sideshow at The Hordern Pavilion! It’s been four years since the British-Nigerian artist born, Simbiatu Ajikawo graced the stage on Australian shores and she did not disappoint! The established artist in the rap scene is now building herself a world class name and her talent and energy in her live performances can only prove she’s only going up from here.

Surprisingly she performed the majority of her set solo and had the Hordern Pavilion bouncing to a packed out floor, with the audience hanging onto her every word. Following her journey from the sombre track Women to the almost spiritual Gorilla - A huge track from her surprise 2022 album No Thank You

Sim’z showed her many influences and ability to incorporate different genres that influence her, from Afrobeat, Jazz outros, and London Grime. creating A sound that is so uniquely her own.
