Where's My Brain? The Latest from The Lazy Eyes

The Lazy Eyes latest tune, ‘Where’s My Brain’, is out now and I gotta tell you- it’s bloody good! It’s dynamic, skillful and a whole lot of fuckin’ fun. The boys have done it again. In fact, they’ve shown us a fair bit of development in this latest release. They’ve stepped outside of the softness they’ve done so well previously in songs like ‘Cheesy Love Song’ and ‘The Seaside’, and amped up the pysch-rock side of things. Intensified layers, sneaky buildups to slippery guitar tones and cheeky pitched vocals have proven the boys diversity.

At almost seven minutes long, you really do get lost in these layers. Personally I felt like a bit of a space cadet by the end of it, and I loved it. It makes you move, you gotta jump around and get the head shakin’ to the catchy combinations of the electrics and drums. Then somehow you find yourself floating, slowly drifting as the layers smooth themselves over calmly into some steady strumming. It’s a great time, with a sick music video to match. The visuals are fascinating and make you feel like your organs are working in time with the beat. You hear such character in the music and can so see it in the boys. They’re obviously loving it and so they should be; they’ve done well.

Once you’ve had a listen to ‘Where’s My Brain’ and added it to your current playlist of course, you can find out more about the boys and their journey as part of our series, In Your Space. We’re big fans in case you can’t tell.
