YOUR FEBRUARY GIG GUIDE
Something spiritual has happened… the sacred mathematics of the universe has revealed itself to me…
The second day of the second month of this year, and we are celebrating the second anniversary of the Wanderer gig guide. 2 WHOLE YEARS of this fun little thing we do for you all…
Is this a coincidence, or a message from above?
Anyway, the gig guide was one of the first ideas I had when I first started working with Amber and the wanderer crew. It was something I had felt was missing from my own feed, something I myself would appreciate having. With the amazing music scene in our little big city of Wollongong, I thought that a list of what was on at the few good venues we have around here would be useful, and easy enough to organise.
Now, two years on, I see it not just as a service for you all, but part of my own monthly ritual. I get to see the full scope of events for the month ahead, not just here in Gong but up to Sydney and beyond, and plan where I’d like to spend my sacred Friday and Saturday nights off. It keeps me connected to a community I am so grateful to be a part of, and it consistently introduces me to new and exciting musicians and venues. All I hope is that these gig guides might give you all a little of what it gives me.
I’d like to thank the wanderer team for always being awesome, and especially thank our illustrator Finn for always delivering with spectacular and original drawings each month. Oh, and all of you for reading !
Happy Birthday Gig Guide.
