YOUR JUNE GIG GUIDE
Greetings to all readers and welcome to a new edition of wanderer’s specialty gig guide. This month we have prepared for you a wonderful array of gigs of the utmost quality, served express to you on this silver platter.
Cliche British accents aside, Illustrator Finn somehow always predicts how these guides ‘work’ without me ever telling him, and will capture it with a perfect image by some divine connection between us. While last month’s list was abundant with a little something for everyone like a party in a huge apple tree, this month’s guide is more thoughtfully selected and catered to taste, like I, Lewis, am the butler in the drawing.
Some special items on the menu this month are as follows:
This Saturday, loud-soft rockers binsad play a hometown show to finish off the tour for their new album ‘pearl’. We recently spoke in depth about the album, the tour and a bunch of other bits and pieces in a new interview that you can read here.
The following weekend on Friday the 12th, Aussie lo-fi psych rockers Eddy Current Suppression Ring are set to play a FREE show in Tumbalong Park near Darling Harbour as a part of the city’s annual Vivid festival. This band is great and rarely plays live so don’t miss out!
Finally, later in the month, local Dharawal alt-folk sensation Field Commander Ali is hosting an album launch at the Thirroul Railway Hall, supported by other local folk superstars the wonderful Sover. Come along to hear Ali’s new material and have a good time.
Thank you all! Bonne appetite, bonne chance!
